CROTCHED MTN HUNDRED-ULTRA ENDURANCE RACE
Touted as one of the premier endurance events in NH, the Crotched Mtn Hundred event winds through three towns in Southern NH's beautiful Monadnock Region. Being one of the most challenging endurance events on the NUE circuit, the Crotched Mtn Hundred will surely test the medal of even the toughest endurance athletes. With over 4K vertical to climb each lap, the course is as New England gnar as you can get. A nice mix of gravel road, class 6, flow and tech singletrack awaits any challenger, with racers finishing the 31 mile looped course with a burly climb back to the ski area and some of the most challenging and technical singletrack, right above the finish line. If you think you're ready, register this year!

2017 was the first year of the Crotched Mtn Hundred at the Ski Area, after having been adapted from the 10-year strong Hampshire 100, hosted in nearby Greenfield NH. In it's first year, the event saw over 200 riders and runners compete on a similar course, just with the main venue being located at the Ski Area, not at Oak Park in Greenfield.

The Crotched Mtn Hundred will be a complete event weekend, with live music, bonfires, daily BBQ's, a vendor/sponsor village, a skills area supported by local youth mtn biking (NEHSCA) and group-led rides. This will be a complete bike weekend, in the heart of Southern NH. Come celebrate getting outside in nature, whether it be on a bike seat, or just on your feet!

Date: Friday, Aug 17 and Saturday, Aug 18, 2018 (sat race day)

Location/Event Venue: Crotched Mountain Ski and Ride: 615 Francestown Road, Bennington, NH 03442

GAMES AND ACTIVITIES

KIDS RACE

Kids under 12 can be a part of the racing action as well, with a kid's short course race on Saturday. Registration will be hosted in the base lodge lobby from 10:00 am-11:00 am, with the race going off at 11:30 am. The event will be free and will feature a short, kid friendly marked course, up and down the Launch Pad Ski Trail (bunny slope) that is located on the opposite side of the base lodge from the event venue/tent. The course is made up mostly of grass, so strider bikes may have trouble pushing uphill, but there will be plenty of space to ride around the Event Venue. Kid's race course will be open all day for fun riding! See venue map for specific location.
Kid's Race Divisions
Kids 8 and Under
Kids 8-12
The kid's race will be FREE, but all participants will have to register and have mom and dad complete a liability release form. If you'd like to get that done early, you can print, sign and bring the completed copy to registration. Helmets are REQUIRED. Any other questions, reach out via contact info listed below.

NEHSCA SKILLS COURSE-SUPPORT YOUTH MTN BIKING
A skills area with bridges, rollers, teeter totters and other fun obstacles will be built at the start/finish line for riding throughout the event. The skills course is managed, built and supported by NEHSCA, New England High School Cycling Association. Riders interested in checking out the skills area can pay a small fee, directly to the young folks from NEHSCA, at the skills area. All proceeds will directly benefit NEHSCA and youth mtn biking in the region.

EVENT CHARITY
Like in year's past, this race event will continue the tradition of supporting the Crotched Mountain Foundation and their Crotched Mountain Adaptive Recreation and Sports (CMARS) program. $10 per registered racer for the event will be donated to their great program. With a satellite location right here at the ski area for CMARS winter-time adaptive skiing and riding program, this race event and fundraising project just builds on the already strong bond between entities.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS
In order to execute an event like this, it takes a community! We would certainly appreciate the help and support of the local communities on this event. Follow the link below to review positions and to sign-up to volunteer!
Volunteer Details
ALL volunteers will meet our Volunteer Manager, Rick McMullen, in the base lodge lobby at Crotched Mountain Ski and Ride, located at 615 Francestown Road, Bennington NH. The lobby is on the first floor, under the main entrance awning. He'll confirm contact info, explain the positions and make sure you can get to the right place, at the right time, etc. In the meantime, if you have questions, please e-mail the volunteer manager.
Complimentary BBQ Lunch will be provided at the event venue on race day. BBQ available 10:30 am-8:00 pm. Lunch voucher will be included in volunteer position packet you'll receive when checking in for volunteering.
Complimentary mid-week lift ticket voucher, valid for skiing and riding at Crotched Mountain any mid-week day, non-holiday of the 17-18 ski season.
All volunteer positions are outside. Please bring plenty of water, an extra layer, comfortable shoes, sunscreen and a hat for your time during the event.

EVENT DIRECTOR
The Crotched Mtn Hundred's new Event Director will be Andy Gendron, the Director of Marketing and Events at Crotched Mtn Ski and Ride. Andy has years of experience working in the Ski Industry, but has also worked on a variety of small and large-scale Mtn Bike event projects. For example, he managed the Eastern States Cup Enduro and Downhill series at Killington Mtn for two Summers, sat on the event committee for the Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge in Sugarloaf, founded the annual Fat Tire Festival at Sugarloaf and acted as the liason between the CR Nemba chapter and the resort as they built out the trail network to incorporate resort land. He's super excited about getting into the NH bike scene and looks forward to meeting all the great racers, volunteers and event planners.
